DTN COMMENTS: Another slow start to the day in cattle feeding country.
So far, no bids or asking prices have been renewed. A light dressed trade
developed in parts of Nebraska yesterday afternoon by a major at $380,
$12 lower than the prior week's weighted averages. In Iowa dressed sales
were reported at $385, $6 lower than last week's weighted averages. Just
where weighted averages fall in these areas this week is anybody's guess.
The South remained very quiet, no bids or asking prices noted there
yesterday. Beef cutouts are expected to be lower on light to moderate box
movement.
NOTE: Feedlots are encouraged to email DTN with any cattle sales, at
linda.nellson@dtn.com. All sales will be listed anonymously and organized
by state. All live sales are FOB and set for 1-9-day delivery. A weekly
summary from this data will be posted on the Weekly Cattle Sales Reported
to DTN page and will be left up for the entire week for reference
purposes.
